KILL FOR THE PART

Theatre Ninety Nine kicked off with their debut production: “Kill For The Part”.

“4 out-of-work actors. 2 murders. 1 chaotic battle for stardom.”

Written and directed by Lucy Blunt in her debut production, Kill For The Part is a sharp-witted, fast-paced comedy packed with theatrical mayhem and a killer twist – proving the most dangerous thing on stage is an actor with something to prove (and rent imminently due).

Welcome to Kill For The Part – a play within a play where ambition runs wild, egos clash, and everyone’s dying for the spotlight. Literally.

When Olivia finally finishes writing the murder mystery she promised her friends years ago, she’s determined to stage it. But with diva tantrums, last-minute cast changes, and an A-list director rumoured to be in the audience, chaos is inevitable.

From first rehearsal to opening night, watch as tensions rise, secrets unravel, and the line between performance and reality begins to blur. Expect murder, misguided love affairs, casting disputes, and a showstopping song that no one remembers rehearsing.

Performed at the Canal Cafe Theatre London – November 2025 , the cast consisted of; George Almond, Lucy Blunt, Jake O’Hare and Rebekah Nicol.

The play was given 4 stars by a theatre critic, describing the play as “Funny from beginning to end” and “Brilliantly well observed”.
